RedFilo was the Event Producer for the main military component for IDEX 2009 Opening Ceremony.
IDEX 2009 (International Defense Exhibition and Conference) is the largest defense and security event in the Middle East and North African Region. The event showcased a huge range of military systems and equipments from all around the world.
RedFilo was directly responsible for the conceptualization and execution of a 30-minute tightly choreographed extravaganza which showcased military capabilities and technology. This planning, execution and logistics for the opening ceremony was a massive project. It saw the construction of a 5000m2 obstacle course made out of sand to act as a terrain for tanks and other military vehicles as well as a 96m long LED screen (the longest moving LED screen ever made).
RedFilo commandeered 100 soldiers and 40 personnel from the Police Force in performance formations. In addition to military hardware , three Block 60 F-16s E/F and three Mirage 2000-9 fly pasts, heliborne rope-down thrills. The National Newspaper describes IDEX 2009 as “the most grand yet.”
